Plasma Table Operator

Under the direction of the Plant Manager this position is responsible for the set up, adjustment and operating a computer laser cutting machine. Willing to train motivated candidates.

Preparation:

• Get and place plate steel in proper position on table.
• By use of plasma cutting book enters commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control media.

Tasks:

• Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
• Inventory plate steel and consumables once a week.
• Daily check filters and clean work area at the end of work shift.
• As needed clean bottom of tables and replace rails.
• Other jobs or projects as assigned
• Meet the daily production schedule as provided by supervision

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
