Cortech is seeking an Engineer in Waukesha, WI.
JOB PURPOSE:
Temporary position design and testing of new products, custom components, maintenance of existing product lines and development of product literature.
Opportunity for temp-to-perm is possible for the right candidate.
DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
--Conceptualize, design, perform detailed Engineering calculations and create drawings and bills of material of new access systems and components (scaffolds, hoists, suspended access systems, etc.)
--Leverage Engineering CAD and PDM management tools effectively
--Assist in development of product literature
--Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
--Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Architectural, Structural Engineering or equivalent
--0-5 years of experience
--Must have strong computer skills
--Proficiency with SolidWorks and drafting required
--Knowledge of manufacturing, welding, steel fabrication, painting, galvanizing and coatings strongly desired
--Knowledge of engineering software such as FEA, STAAD, RISA, TEDDS, ENERCALC and others a plus
--Strong communication and interpersonal skills necessary along with a customer service focus
--Motivated to learn new and challenging tasks and work in the construction industry
--Creative problem solving, in a collaborative team environment
