Payroll Clerk

Accountemps is hiring a Payroll Clerk for one of our clients in the Manufacturing industry-if you want to join a dynamic, fast-growing team, you are encouraged to apply! In this role, you will get the chance to support the Payroll department in a variety of methods including data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. What you get to do every single day

- Reach out to employees via phone and email to obtain timesheet approvals

- Craft and deliver training to employees on the use of proper payroll practices, including timesheet entry and online methods of accessing pay statements

- Gather data into spreadsheets and the payroll system

- Conduct clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc

- Distribute and administer reports as instructed

- Configure custom reports

- Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system - Ability to easily learn new systems

- In-house payroll experience

- General familiarity with Microsoft Excel

- Incentive Bonus experience

- Numeric data entry experience

- Strong familiarity with SAP HR Payroll

- Knowledge of payroll for over 500 employees

- Proven knowledge of Pay Increases

- Well-founded grasp of Kronos Timekeeping System

- Detailed and have the ability work independently

- Excellent oral and written communications skills

- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

- Previous payroll experience

- Skilled in Payroll software
