Accountemps is trying to fill an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk position with an organization that offers a stimulating work environment among a team of experienced, motivated professionals. While working closely and reporting to the Accounting Manager, the candidate in this role will be expected to manage the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. The main responsibilities will include matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. What you get to do every single day

- Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it

- Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks

- Complete special projects on an as-needed basis

- Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies

- Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners

- Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling

- Complete full-cycle A/P

- Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents

- Assist with internal and external audits as needed

- Command of Purchase Orders

- Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

- Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

- High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills

- Spreadsheet and database capabilities

- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
