Accounting Assistant

Accountemps has an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Assistant to support a Credit Union with a special project! The project is estimated to last several months in length, and offers a 100% remote workplace format. The project requires someone with a proficiency in Excel, excellent attention to detail, and understanding of basic account reconciliations. This would be a great opportunity for a accounting/finance student looking for a summer internship, or someone targeting a limited term project through the summer.

What the project will entail: Compare daily transaction data across multiple systems to flag discrepancies and mismatching line items. Work with the corporate accounting team to research and correct the errors. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient and comfortable navigating between multiple screens.

1+ years of accounting experience (specific to reconciliation work) or full/partial degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics

Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to navigate large quantities of data
