Travel the country and make an impact on communities in need! AmeriCorps NCCC (National Civilian Community Corps) is a full-time service program that covers lodging and travel expenses, allowing young adults to serve on a team and make an impact in communities across the country while gaining valuable leadership skills. AmeriCorps members in the NCCC Traditional Corps program deploy to one of our training locations, then travel with a team of 8-12 other young adults throughout their assigned region for 10 months of full-time, immersive service. Apply by June 30 to begin service in Oct.

Training Locations: Denver, CO; or Sacramento, CA

(Locations will be assigned upon acceptance into the program. Applicants cannot choose their location.)

Requirements to serve:

Must be between 18-26 years old

Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident of the U.S.

Must pass an initial drug screening test upon arrival to the program

Must be available to leave your hometown and serve full-time for 10 months

???Position Description: You will perform direct, hands-on service in the areas of natural and other disasters, infrastructure improvement, environmental stewardship and conservation, energy conservation, and urban and rural development. You could be doing anything from building a house to ???running a youth summer program to repairing hiking trails in a national forest, so openness to new experiences is key. You'll also undergo intensive training at the beginning of your service to prepare you for the adventure ahead and take on leadership roles and specialized assignments along the way. Learn and grow with a team of your peers and build lasting connections.
