A Service Project Manager at Horwitz is responsible for establishing and maintaining direct customer relationships with building owners, managers and facilities directors, estimating projects in plumbing, piping and HVAC and managing these projects from start to finish. This includes day to day operations that impact our company profitability and reputation.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop long term relationships with new service customers (and existing accounts as assigned).
- Project sales including design, estimate, and manage HVAC, plumbing and piping projects, energy upgrades, equipment replacement, major repairs and capital improvements.
- Develop capital expenditure plans for existing customers to promote systematic equipment replacements and upgrades.
- Project management including preparing budgets, purchasing equipment and major material, supervision and coordination of subcontractors and field labor.
- Regular calls to develop new customers and solicit additional HVAC, plumbing and piping work from existing customers
Qualification Requirements:
- Minimum five years previous experience in the mechanical industry.
- Organizational skills required to perform the project management responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Excel office programs.
- Ability to create relationships in the industry.
- Highly motivated person willing to work to achieve the goals of Horwitz.
- The ability to work well with others both internally and externally.
- The willingness to learn new concepts needed to be successful on our projects.
- An understanding that Horwitz core values are always adhered to in all situations.
