We are seeking a driven and results oriented Application Solutions Delivery role to work on our Optum Care Delivery team in our OptimalCare arena. Join us and put your advanced knowledge and skills to work by driving innovation through leading the client delivery efforts for each application under the OptimalCare technology portfolio. A large portion of this role involves collaboration with both our operations team and Care Delivery Organization parents to implement new technology and ensure data used within the systems is up to date and accurate.

This role will challenge your ability to work on complex projects where deadlines and scope shift frequently. You'll need flexibility, agility and the ability to adapt to change while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders in a highly cross-matrixed environment. You will be tasked with providing implementation support / configuration and handling data used within the software.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collect data from our Care Organizations and prepare for the data for ingestion
  • Partner with our Care Organizations on efficient data collection processes and update guidelines
  • Perform user acceptance testing on configuration changes and data updates within the applicable tools
  • Assessment of data to ensure data does not contribute to discrepancies
  • Ensure data meets requirements (text, numeric, zip code formatted, etc.)
  • Validation of data between multiple data sources (client, payer, NPPES, etc) pre and post ingestion
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our Care Organizations
  • Collect and provide metrics to leadership regarding roster data updates across the Care Organizations
  • Evaluate data collection and processes related to ingestion to identify improvements
  • Ability to engage functional partners on both the Optum and Care Organization levels to effectively deliver on each application project
  • Research and proactively seek to fill in knowledge gaps in key functional areas
  • Work with operations and Care Organization pre and post implementation to determine necessary requirements
  • Lead the initial intake and triage process of all post implementation application requests
  • Assist in configuration of company applications based on business requirements pre and post implementation
  • Develop configuration requirements document and obtain approval from business owners
  • Review and recommend changes to existing configuration processes and procedures
  • Assist in system analysis, design, development, and testing activities
  • Ensure configurations meet the Care Organizations needs
  • Other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1+ years of experience in supporting end-users of technology which may include pre and post implementation activities or general support activities
  • Experience in the healthcare industry
  • Ability to review and interpret data, identify and resolve data issues
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with ambition, client focus and innovative ideas that will enhance and improve results in a new program and product culture
  • Travel required around 10-15%
  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience on the provider network side
  • Experience working in a cross-matrixed organization

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
