Pro Staff is recruiting a Design Engineer III for our client company in the heart of the lakes area! If you have excellent problem-solving, print reading and CAD skills, and you're looking for a great new opportunity, apply today! Main areas of responsibility include:
  • Detail and design parts for efficient fabrication processes
  • Design complete mechanisms with complete views
  • Complete partial designs and mechanical purchase parts lists, as well as "from scratch" designs"
  • Determine best solutions by analyzing speed and times of mechanisms
  • Determine size of purchased components
  • Conduct research as needed
  • Maintain strong vendor support relationships
  • Concept, quote and schedule jobs
  • Come up with cost-reduction solutions
  • Assist in other areas as needed
This is a long term, day position paying $23-30/hr., depending on experience. Some travel may be required after hire on. Qualified candidates have 5+ years' packaging-related experience a 2-year technical or 4 year mechanical engineering degree. Must have strong proficiency in CAD and blueprint reading, with a good understanding of mechanical linkages and components. Knowledge of the metric system, fabrication and plating processes and continuous improvement processes is needed.
