This leader will manage and direct a team of ten or more architects forming our cloud and converged infrastructure architecture team. This team brings together the infrastructure architecture disciplines covering storage, compute, and data center for the Wells Fargo enterprise, and has direct accountability for solution design and roadmap development in these domains, as well as joint accountability for the setting of enterprise strategy and direction.

Essential to success in this role is a deep technical understanding of the compute and storage domain, with specific awareness of and experience with their convergence in the modern technology enterprise in service of platform virtualization and software containerization. Given the dynamic nature of the architecture practice in driving innovation, successful candidates must be comfortable leading from the front, as well as aligning to the vision and then self-directing their own work as well as their teams. Strong proficiency and demonstrable experience in infrastructure solution and platform design will be a must.

As an Employee Manager, you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business. Specifically, you will:

  • Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your employees feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.
  • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented employees, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing employees, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technology engineering experience
  • 4+ years of leadership and people management experience in a technology environment
  • 5+ years of technology experience across multiple domains within infrastructure architecture



Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
  • Experience moving teams and organizations from Waterfall to Agile methodologies and Agile Transformations
  • Knowledge and understanding of Cloud computing, PaaS design principles and micro services and containers



Other Desired Qualifications
  • 7 years leading teams of ten or more
  • 3 years designing infrastructure automation solutions
  • Converged and hyper-converged infrastructure solution design and implementation
  • Object store and associated interfaces: S3, CSI


Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
