Key Duties/Responsibilities
Applies extensive technical expertise to architect hardware platform for low power wireless sensors, cellular and Ethernet gateways.
Lead and guide other engineering staff to develop detail technical requirements, hardware design specifications, schematics design, design simulations and PCB layout.
Work with manufacturing staff and contract manufacturers in EVT, DVT and MVT build phases.
Work with test engineers to qualify new products and obtain all the required regulatory certifications.
Assist quality engineers to investigate root cause failure analysis and corrective actions of field failures and RMA products.
Present reviews of emerging wireless technologies to product leadership and technical staff.
Facilitates decision making around key technical issues
Monitors and implements industry best practices to develop techniques to improve development productivity through the introduction of new technologies, tools, systems, methods, and controls.

Experience and Professional Competencies
10+ years of experience in designing low / battery-powered wireless (BLE, Zigbee) products
Experience in designing IoT devices with cellular module and technologies (HSPA+, EDGE, UMTS/WCDMA, LTE)
Expertise in electrical design, simulation tools, and analysis techniques (Cadence ORCAD and Allergo, Altium)
Experience with EMI/EMC good design practices in both schematic and PCB layout
Familiar with electronic packaging/enclosure design
Experience designing quality into the products (DFMEA, DFx)
Experience in working with contract manufacturing services and material suppliers

Qualifications
BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering
Strong engineering skills specifically in low power wireless architecture and circuit design
Ability to provide technical leadership related to product and process design
Ability to lead complex product design involving integration of hardware and software
Proven success in managing timely completion of engineering projects
Results-oriented with track record of technically leading strong, effective teams
Experience in working in an Agile organization
Excellent organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, and presentation skills
