Summary

Our client is looking for a skilled, motivated and organized commercial construciton Project Manager. This person would oversee 1-3 assistant PMs or engineers, and would be considered a valuable asset for running medium to large sized commercial construction projects, with the intention of being promoted up to a Senior PM level within 1-2 years.

They provide high quality construction services and solutions to clients, partners, and employees in Wisconsin by delivering a better building experience. By developing relationships based on respect, mutual trust, and collaboration, our client focuses on your project's delivery from initial planning to long after your project is completed. They prides themselves on their work environment and have great results to show for it with very low turnover. They have strategically grown over the last 5 years and just moved into a new office building.

  • Project Portfolio: TI, K-12/Higher Ed, Mixed-use, Multi-family, Light industrial, Medical Suites and Light Commercial properties
  • Project Locations: Greater Milwaukee, Sheboygan, Fond Du Lac, Appleton

Description

  • Job Cost monitoring of labor, materials, subcontractors & general category costs weekly. Inform and engage field operations on potential production issues.
  • Manage and oversee project engineer job specific project management support responsibilities.
  • Develop detailed construction schedules including milestones, duration's and dependencies.
  • Contribute to project programming, design reviews and pro-forma analysis.
  • Oversee progress relative to contract construction schedule.
  • Schedule and document required government inspections during construction.
  • Communicate daily with owners, tenant reps, construction managers, superintendents and project coordinators.
  • Review finalized estimate is per contract with accepted alternates and Job Cost transfer/Estimate file export for accounting job cost import; cross check after import; adjust as needed.
  • Schedule and lead project onsite review and kick-off meetings ahead of field start date.
  • Review documentation of all required agencies and approvals.

Profile

  • Ideally 5-15+ years of lead project management experience
  • Effective communication skills to motivate your team.
  • The fortitude to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Multi-tasking with a sense of urgency while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy is crucial.
  • Ability to work at/with all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to shift gears when necessary.
  • Organization skills.
  • Financial and accounting understanding.
  • CPM scheduling and planning knowledge.

Job Offer
