Building Maintenance Technician - $21.69/hr

Job Overview: The Building Maintenance role is to monitor building equipment and related systems to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems, performing repairs, documenting solutions and making recommendations for further actions.Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Responsible for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems, performing repairs, documenting solutions and recommending further action. Maintain all Building HVAC Systems, electrical and mechanical systems and make necessary repairs. Performs preventative tasks and record required information. Monitors preventative maintenance work done by outside contractors. Maintains a high technical level in troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment. Maintain current license, inspection, permit, and certificate requirements to meet all state and local codes. Perform a variety of administrative tasks such as: ordering material and writing purchase orders. Performs all duties in a timely, efficient, and professional manner while maintaining a neat, clean, and safe work area. Job Requirements: Previous experience performing ammonia refrigeration maintenance. Must possess the ability to prioritize multiple demands and adjust accordingly. Must possess the ability to interpret and understand specifications, operating and maintenance manuals for all systems. Proficient in the use of various hand operated and powered tools (pneumatic, electric, hydraulic, mechanical, ect) Knowledge of electrical systems, sprinkler, alarm, plumbing, refrigeration and heating systems, carpentry and overhead doors. Special Engineer boiler license will be required if not already obtained. Must possess customer service skills and understand diversity needs of coworkers, employees, customers and vendors.
