What You Will Be Doing
- Evaluate a range of Conventional and Government Loan applications for creditworthiness, completeness of pertinent documentation, and compliance with underwriting standards
- Analyze complex loans which require multiple follow-up documentation requests and underwriting discretion to properly evaluate
- Communicate with sales and support teams to ensure accuracy of all documentation throughout the application process
- Follow underwriting guidelines and best practices to ensure the most prudent final decision in each application
- At least 5 years of experience underwriting Conventional and Government Loans
- Advanced understanding of FHA, VA, USDA, Freddie Mac, and Fannie Mae underwriting procedures
- Proficiency in DU/LP
- DE or LAPP/SAR certifications a plus, but not required
