SummaryThe Teacher Aide is responsible for assisting and partnering with the Teacher in developing and implementing a program of activities that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child enrolled in a group in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards, Wisconsin Child Care Licensing, City of Madison Accreditation and Wisconsin YoungStar standards. The duties and responsibilities will be carried out under the direction of the Classroom Teacher.DutiesThe Teacher Aide is responsible for assisting and partnering with the Teacher in developing and implementing a program of activities that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child enrolled in a group in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards, Wisconsin Child Care Licensing, City of Madison Accreditation and Wisconsin YoungStar standards. The duties and responsibilities will be carried out under the direction of the Classroom Teacher.RequirementsBe at least 18 years of ageMust have a high school diploma, AA or BA degree preferredExperience working with children ages 3-5 preferably in a licensed child care settingMust have a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others and be able to relate well to children, families, staff and communityDemonstrate effective listening, oral and written communication skillsMaintain confidentiality at all timesAdult, Child and Infant CPR certification within 6 months of employmentBenefitsReach Dane/Reach Green offers a generous benefit package to regular employees that work 20 hours or more per week.
