At Wells Fargo, the Consumer Lending Technology organization is leading technology transformation leveraging multi-cloud technology ecosystem to deliver innovative products at scale that are stable, secure, and always on. Consumer Lending Group Platform Management is responsible for supporting 700+ products and services responsible for 30% of Wells Fargo Business. As part of Group Platform Management, we are seeking a Senior Technology Leader to lead and transform Home Lending Technology Operations to DevSecOps as part of the Product Aligned IT Operation Model.

The Role

The CLT SRE Engineering Tribe Leaders will report directly to the Head of Group Platform Management in Consumer Lending Technology and will be responsible for leading operations and aligned DevOps Teams as part of the Site Reliability Engineering Practice for a group within CLT. You will shift right in the in Software Development Lifecycle Management to ensure quality, and shift left through Site Reliability Engineering to improve Availability enabling DevSecOps. You will be responsible for the vision, strategy, roadmap, and support of the entire product portfolio of to improve availability and customer satisfaction aligning to the Wells Fargo Six S Strategy. You will partner closely with the Head of Group Platform Management, Site Reliability Engineering, Enterprise Architecture and Engineering, and the CIO for the division within CLT to which your role is aligned to ensure products and services we provide to our customers are "Always On."

Responsibilities include the following:

??? Build and train highly functioning DevOps Team(s) in Home Lending Operations Organization providing mentorship to managers and team members to establish a culture of 'Always On'
??? Assemble strategy, roadmap, and onboard customer journeys and products to Site Reliability Engineering Practice leveraging enterprise capabilities and standardized tools
??? Establish OKRS, KPIs, and key qualitative and quantitative metrics working with stakeholders to achieve goals reflective of business priorities. Identify SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs as part of the onboarding process to SRE and assess maturity on regular basis.
??? Lead teams in Onboarding prioritized customer journeys and applications through Agile methodology to enterprise capabilities including observability, CI/CD, continuous testing, destructive and resiliency testing, drive continuous improvement, instrument for AIOPs and IT Service Management (ITSM), and conduct threat assessments to improve security posture
??? Support day to day operations of Home Lending Portfolio products which includes resolution of production incidents, change/release coordination, problem ticket resolution, BCP planning
??? Provide executive level oversight and engagement with senior leading as it pertains to Home Lending Portfolio of Products including managing financials, risk, technical execution, recruiting, staff management of internal employees and contractors.
??? Maximize productivity and efficiency by prioritizing key activities, removing roadblocks, track progress, and pitch in when technical assistance is required to onboard to enterprise capabilities or solve application issues

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience
  • 8+ years of experience with strategic planning in technology
  • 8+ years of experience with managing software development projects through complete release cycles
  • 8+ years of leadership and people management experience in a large-scale technology environment



Desired Qualifications

  • A Masters degree or higher in computer science or engineering
  • 8+ years of experience with Agile practices
  • 5+ years of experience with systems architecture and design
  • 5+ years of experience with modern software engineering technologies and tool sets
  • 3+ years of managing a 100+ FTE engineering organization



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment
  • Knowledge and understanding of system monitoring and automation
  • Knowledge and understanding of application testing methodologies, tools, and execution
  • 2 + years of experience with Elasticsearch development, integration or support
  • 2+ years of Splunk experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology object oriented: programming: C++, JavaScript, or Java
  • Knowledge and understanding of Python, Ruby, PowerShell, and Shell scripting
  • Domaine expertise in Home Lending, Personal Lending Group, Auto Finance or Cards and Merchant
  • Must have strong relationship management and proven leadership skills, with solid conflict management, negotiation and organizational effectiveness techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to manage effectively in a heavily matrixed organization with a high degree of initiative and strong ability to meet key responsibilities with limited direction and oversight
  • Proven experience building, leading, and engaging high-performing, diverse, and inclusive teams
  • Ability to communicate powerfully and prolifically to senior and executive leaders and simplify the complex
