Lead Project Manager (Plymouth, MN)Our client in Medical Devices is currently hiring a Lead Project Manager to work cross-functionally with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectationsThis position is a Direct Hire role. Job Overview:Lead Engineering Project Management Teams to manage cross functional engineering projects. Work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. Job Responsibilities:Responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.Achieve On-Time Delivery project performance objectives and report out progress.Oversee technical conversations with the customer and provides technical expertise when necessary.Review engineering deliverables for adherence to site quality standards and provides appropriate feedback.Conduct project On Time Delivery meetings.Manage project scheduling and gap closure requirements as needed.Achieve scope, schedule, and budget requirements.Audit baseline project schedules for all projects.Hold core teams accountable to schedule and deliverables.Provide input into capital expenditures and project/dept. budgets.Track lessons learned and manage best practices.Participate in and lead as required Phase Gate Reviews.Ensure compliance with Product Lifecycle tools and procedures.Manage resource planning and staffing activities for specific projects. Ensure accurate time tracking on projectsMaintain accurate project data reporting and ensure accurate data report outs.Resolve project conflicts and establish escalation path on all project.Qualifications:Five -Ten years minimum of demonstrated Project/Program Management experience in Medical Device Manufacturing, or other regulated industry working with internal and external customers required.Formal Project management training required. PMP certification preferred.Experience in the matrix management of a project team.Knowledge of FDA regulations preferred.New product introduction experience for devices required.Ability to act as both internal staff and customer advocate.Demonstrated business acumen and confidence communicating to senior management and customers.Demonstrated ability in managing systems, managing up, and managing peers.Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Project, on-line collaboration tools, and databases required.Must be willing to travel up to 10% annually.Client is a $12 billion global technology leader, with sensor solutions essential in today's increasingly connected world.
