Corporate Accountant

Robert Half is currently partnering with a premiere property accounting client based in the west metro of Minneapolis, assisting them in finding a strong Accountant that can manage the accounting for several properties, as well as some of the corporate accounting functions. The role will be responsible for preparing the full financial reporting package for these properties, and also assisting at a corporate level to consolidate the financials for various entities. Candidates with prior experience working in a multi-entity corporate structure would be excellent fits for this temporary to full time opportunity!

Responsibilities and Duties:

Assist the team with month-end financial close process, including updated general ledger maintenance and the preparation of monthly journal entries.

Analyze accounts payable ledger to ensure all invoices have been coded to the appropriate project or property, booking reclass entries as needed.

Review accounts receivable ledger to ensure all invoices have been correctly prepared and sent to customers, and that all cash has been posted against the appropriate open invoice.

Manage the monthly bank and G/L reconciliation process within Excel.

Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.

Research discrepancies and prepare adjusting entries as needed.

Assist in the compilation of various management and KPI reports and summaries on a monthly basis.

Ensure all banking relationships are properly established for newly acquired properties.

Various additional projects as assigned by management team.

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.

2+ years of prior G/L accounting experience, preferably in a related industry.

Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of programs, including Excel and PowerPoint

Strong administrative, organization and communication skills.

Ability to function in a fast paced environment that requires an astute ability to multi-task
