Building Maintenance

*Overview* M Health Fairview has an immediate opening for a Building Maintenance/Maintenance Technician based at our Fairview -Midway Corporate Building in St. Paul, MN. This is a 80 hours per two week pay period position, weekends as needed. Comprehanesive benefits package, free parking option..*Responsibilities/Job Description* The Building Maintenance position is responsible for general maintenance of the facility and of the facility grounds, sidewalks, snow removal. Performs work involving the use of large and small equipment and performs routine manual labor involved in maintenance. Assigned responsibility for the care and maintenance of designated tasks or areas of non-hospital sites and other off site, East region clinics and does related work as required. Job duties include but are not limited to the following: + Installation of blood pressure cuffs, bulletin and grease boards, shelving, plant hangers, coat hooks, dispensers of all kinds and corner guards; + Replace and repair various other tasks such as: keyboard trays, hang mirror and pictures, replace casters (chairs and IV poles), chairs, sleeper chairs, wood side chairs, and shower and towel bars. Patch and paint walls, remove wallpaper; + Performs many other tasks such as: assemble furniture and deliver, safety check wall rails, minor re-configuration of modular furniture, shower and towel bars, and repair of housekeeping equipment; + Assist in snow removal and grounds maintenance; + Understands and follows safety procedures specifically related to job duties. Demonstrates functional knowledge of emergency plans and utilizes proper infection control techniques; + Respects the confidentiality of all information by sharing information only with those who need to know..*Qualifications*.*Preferred Education:* Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree.*Minimum License/Certification/Registration:* Valid MN Driver's License.*Preferred Experience:* 1-3 years of experience in operating, heating and cooling systems and maintaining building structures and grounds.*Desired Skills:* + Previous plumbing repair experience + Experience working with HVAC filters + Light duty maintenance experience in a healthcare setting + Experience working with boiler checks + Knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques used in high/low pressure steam heating or power plant operation + Knowledge and ability to repair Medical Office Buildings and Clinic equipment, including utility systems, HVAC systems + Ability to use a computer and applications that are associated with performing basic work tasks (use a mouse, navigate in Windows, Outlook, etc) + Demonstrates behavior consistent with the standards, scope of practice, ethics, and characteristics of a licensed professional.*Need help finding the right job?* We can recommend jobs specifically for you! _Fairview Health Services (fairview.org) is an award-winning, nonprofit health system providing exceptional care across the full spectrum of health care services.
