POSITION SUMMARYAs a member of a multidiscipline team, the Reliability Operator manages the delivery of production targets through competent operation and maintenance of oil and gas production sites. The Reliability Operator is self-motivated, managed, and engaged in the planning process. They demonstrate to peers and the Operations Lead ownership of the facility equipment and systems. The role assures minimum impact on the facility operations and demonstrates good environmental stewardship in order to assist with the delivery of production targets and maintain compliance with Group Practice as defined in Hess Operational Excellence Expectations. The Reliability Operator also provides key oversight, operation, and troubleshooting using LEAN tools of storage tanks, piping, flares, etc. found on production sites. Applicant also must have mechanical skills required for minor equipment repair and computer skills for daily ticket input. Assist Oil Dispatch with daily Oil hauling supervision and oil quality checks.ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESRelay operating/safety problems or concerns to supervisorPerform preventative (Autonomous) maintenance on oil gathering equipment including Boost Pumps, transfer pump, valve sets, LACTs, Chemical Skids, and 3rd party LACTsDaily operations also include pipeline pigging and oil sampling for VP CompliancePerform minor repairs on failed operating equipmentAdhere to written operating procedures for shutdown and startup of equipmentAdhere to lockout/ tagout procedures in preparing equipment for maintenance workActively participate in various elements of process safetyActively participate in tailgate safety meetings, JSA's and monthly safety meetingsParticipate in emergency response activities as requiredParticipate in HazOp reviews as requiredDaily review of Theta, XSPOC, and IconicsAssist keeping well locations free of trash, weeds, and general clutterPerform daily SPCC inspections and document resultsChecking and performing Autonomous Maintenance on RTF pumps, seals, tank levels, making sure everything is running and operating properly, monitor alarms and levels throughout the dayQUALIFICATIONSExperience/Skills1+ year oilfield field experience required2+ years of Pipeline Operation/Reliability Operator preferredWilling to accept responsibility and accountability with a positive attitudeGood communication skillsTeam playerKnowledge of safety/environmental requirements and practicesMust be physically able to climb stairs, operate valves and pumps and perform maintenance work under air supplied breathing equipmentMust be willing to work night callouts, weekends and holidays according to the normal operating scheduleProven safety experience/training regarding oil and gas operations including but not limited to, confined space, lock out tag out, H2S, personal protective equipment, etcMust have valid driver's licenseEducation/TrainingHigh school diploma or equivalent required2-year Associates of Science in Petroleum, Process or related degree preferredCore BehaviorsContinuous Improvement - 10%Process Execution - 60%Problem Solving / Decision Making -25%Leadership / Coaching - 5%Work EnvironmentField Time ("go see", meetings/collaboration) - 90%Desk Time (admin, data analysis, emails) - 10%CompetenciesThe Hess Way of Working refers to competencies considered absolute pre-requisites for success.
