You will never stop learning.The Contracts Analyst is a role within Contract Administration group supporting primarily the North American Natural Gas Trading business with focus on the review and negotiation of contractual documents with counterparties including the recognition of contract issues, recommendations and resolutions to contract issues and implementation of company-approved agreements/documentation. The candidate will also monitor Key Control Indicators (KCIs) and help enhance the control function of the department always with a focus on continuous improvement.Responsibilities: Draft, review and negotiate agreements (related to the purchase and sale of Physical Natural Gas) always in accordance with internal guidelines and best practices with an emphasis on negotiating terms that maximizes value and mitigates contractual exposure. These agreements may include, but not be limited to: ISDAs, NAESBs, GasEDIs, transport, storage, AMA, RFP, agency brokerage, confidentiality agreements, amendments and/or updates to any other types of agreements as needed.Assist various stakeholders with new business development opportunities and/or projects on an as-needed basis.Coordinate and communicate with internal stakeholders to facilitate and finalize both trading and related contracts and/or confirmations.Create new contract templates and update the existing templates on an as-needed basis.Collaborate and interact with the internal and corporate areas of the Company serving as the liaison with the commercial groups.Assist the business to find adequate contract solutions for their operations.Store all contractual documentation in accordance with the Company document retention policy.Maintain and report all requested KPI metrics as well as ensure compliance with the internal Procedures and Norms.Work with counterparties to obtain the required KYC documentation for onboarding preparation for tradingTrack/monitor contracts in contract systems and spreadsheetsAdd value through identifying and leading continuous improvement initiatives. Continuously research for new tools and ideas to increase efficiencies within the group, including the development of new processes and procedures.Required Qualifications:Legal authorization to work in the US for any US employer.A minimum of a bachelor's degree.Legal knowledge about US law applicable to operations and contracts.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Must be able to analyze, draft, revise and negotiate the contractual clauses found in industry-standard trading contracts.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.Must have the ability to work, think independently and multi-task in fast-paced environment and coordinate with multiple company stakeholders.Must be able to prioritize work to handle tight deadlines.Strong organizational skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with industry-standard agreements, including ISDA Master Agreement (and all product annexes and protocols, NAESB and any other documents to support the trading of both physical and financial energy-related commodity productsJ.D. preferred or a minimum of three (3) years in a relevant position within a trading organization, department or other similar experience (US domestic and international).Solid understanding of physical natural gas and products trading operationsBilingual Spanish is a plusExperience with multi-national company is a plusRepsol is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/Disability/VeteranJob posting end date:
