The Technology Enablement & Pipeline (TE&P) team within the Chief Technology Office (CTO) is responsible for product ownership, delivery, and operational support of the Enterprise Pipeline (EPL) and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD). Our strategy focuses on building a fully automated (build, deploy, and test), end-to-end pipeline that includes a community driven inner source model, establishes self-service onboarding capabilities, and integrates software development lifecycle and segregation of duties controls.
We are hiring two (2) DevOps Engineering Managers with expertise in DevOps products to drive transformation of enterprise practices, with a focus on managing Agile teams delivering the features for the next generation pipeline. As the leader for the Agile feature teams, they will manage 12-18 engineers while providing guidance and mentorship. The leaders must also be familiar with the technology to effectively partner with the product owners and the developer community to prioritize the features and act as internal Agile consultant to drive automation across the SDLC, and integrate with state of the art tooling and platforms. With full support from senior management, these are transformation driver roles which will directly impact how development will happen at Wells Fargo.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Lead Agile Engineering Teams supporting technology solutions development across multiple DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) products or capability domains.
  • Partner with business product managers, lead systems architects, and senior engineers to develop product functional and technical strategy for the domain(s), including development of actionable short and long-term product roadmaps and shaping prioritized features.
  • Oversee engineering teams to deliver commitments aligned to strategic product priorities.
  • Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of senior engineers and lower level engineering managers and assists in hiring top engineering talent.
  • Collaborate within and across agile teams to design, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and methodologies.
  • Ensure the craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third-party providers.
  • Support implementation of features spanning multiple teams for multiple product or capability domains.
  • Partner with product managers to drive business outcomes. Ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met.
  • Ensure that key areas of technology risk including security, stability, and scalability are addressed in products and capabilities within the domain(s). Interface with third party vendors and technology service providers.
  • Evaluate new products to get key outcomes where necessary, as well as re-evaluate new ways of using existing capabilities.
Selected candidate will be required to work within one of the following Wells Fargo locations: New York, NY; Raleigh, NC; Minneapolis, MN; Phoenix, AZ; or San Francisco, CA. Preference will be given to those candidates that either currently live in or are willing to relocate to one of these locations.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of technology engineering experience
  • 4+ years of leadership and people management experience in a technology environment
  • 3+ years of DevOps experience
  • 2+ years of Agile experience
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology infrastructure: product management and development
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with LOB stakeholders, technology CIO leadership, external service providers, and architecture teams
  • Experience applying new technologies to business needs in a technologically innovative , change-driven organization
  • Secure SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology governance risk and compliance processes such as; policies, control standards, risk management concepts, or information security
Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with DevOps automation development using a pipeline-as-code approach
  • Enterprise experience with one or more CI/CD implementation, configuration management, build, and orchestration tools: Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, uDeploy, GitHub, Artifactory, Harness IO, Spinnaker, Terraform
  • Experience with one or more security and code quality scanning tools: SonarQube, Fortify, BlackDuck, Checkmarx, Threadfix, Xray
  • Experience with container solution implementations, preferably Kubernetes or Docker
  • Experience with one or more Cloud platforms: AWS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) or VMware Tanzu App Service (TAS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure
