Compensation: $24.00 to $26.00 hourly

Our client in the south-east metro is actively seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team! This is a great opportunity to become an integral part of a high performing team at a growing company. The Accounts Payable Specialist role will be situated out of the Eden Prairie, Minnesota location and is a direct-hire opportunity.

The AP Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of full-cycle accounts payable processing, including matching POs, coding to the general ledger, ensuring accuracy with sales and/or use tax, daily posting, processing check runs, vendor communications, discrepancy resolution with purchasing, and more.

To be considered for this opportunity candidates should have full-cycle accounts payable experience.

Prior experience in a job cost environment is highly preferred (i.e. construction, professional services, engineering, manufacturing industries) as well as an Associates degree and/or some coursework in accounting.

Experience with GL coding is also highly preferred. Multi-location experience would be a huge plus!

Job Requirements:
- Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

- Competent with spreadsheets and databases

- Strong organization skills

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

- Knowledge of Job Cost

- Purchase Orders experience highly desired

- Strong familiarity with general ledger

- Proven knowledge of Vendor Statements

- Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

- Foundational knowledge in Coding Invoices
