This role is responsible for carrying out repairs and modifications to factory equipment and facilities that will improve safety, quality and productivity and prolong the useful life of company assets
  • Assist all members with repairs or modifications to plant equipment or facilities according to requirements prioritized by the Maintenance Lead/Supervisor.
  • May inspect, repair, install, modify, and maintain electrical systems, circuits and equipment.
  • May design and install new line voltage circuits; troubleshoot and repair existing line voltage circuits ensuring they are up-to-code.
  • May develop and implement new control systems and logic programs and make program changes to PLC and robotic equipment for machine build and other plant automated equipment.
  • May design electrical processes in-house, schematics manuals and stays current on all revisions of PLC software.
  • Responsible for all plant-wide maintenance requirements, report or recommend needed steps or, in the case of emergencies, take necessary action.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment such as but not limited to motors, VFC, pneumatic devices, CNC equipment, laser cutting equipment, conveyors, air and water systems; using schematics, diagrams, sketches, manufacturer's repair specifications and tools such as hand tools, power tools, hoists, and forklift trucks.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Actively participates in continuous improvement activities.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and ability to analyze, evaluate and solve mechanical problems with the ability to make general repairs on press brakes, punch press equipment, lasers, packaging equipment, etc.
  • CNC and PLC programming knowledge
  • Knowledge of Rockwell Automation product line preferred.
  • Ability to create/design/build/program new control systems for complex automated equipment. This is to be done with a high level of workmanship and electrical safeguarding to industrial standards.
  • Ability to set up and perform advanced (predictive) machine PMs
Education & Experience
  • Associate degree in industrial electronics or related field
  • 3 or more years experience in manufacturing maintenance or related field
