This role will be responsible for purchasing all materials and scheduling production of our industry-leading luxury Fireplaces. This role will partner with the members of our drafting, sales, marketing, and production teams to ensure our products are manufactured and delivered to our customers with the highest level of quality.

Position responsibilities include:
  • Conducts sourcing and selects suppliers when directed by operations leaders.
  • Investigate and research new products and designs of materials as dictated by NPD & R&D (new product development and research and development).
  • Interview vendors to obtain information relative to product quality, price, service, delivery, and ability to supply.
  • Review proposals and obtain samples from suppliers
  • Prepare and draft purchase orders for the purchasing of raw materials, customer service materials, and/or purchase for resale product.
  • Evaluate and schedule production lines to produce products for customer orders.
  • Analysis of CTP data to ensure customer satisfaction is being met.
  • Establish and achieve delivery and inventory targets at the plant level.

Skills and Abilities
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Highly analytical and ability to analyze complex data as part of the decision-making process. Able to use data to support decisions.
  • Superior communication skills. The ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to adapt to change and maintain composure in stressful or challenging situations.
  • Ability to understand the item master / part set in the MRP.
Requirements
  • 4-year degree plus 2 years experience in manufacturing, engineering, or business field or a combination of education and experience.
  • Or 6+ years in similar buying and scheduling positions.
