Senior Clinical Administrative Coordinators in this function require various administration skills and/or certification based on role and grade level. Function is responsible for performing pre-service non-clinical coverage review of services that require notification, using applicable benefit plan documents and internal process guides. Research and resolution of complex issues and complaints are a large function of this role. Root cause analysis and mitigation planning and implementation are also key job functions.
This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8 hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of (6:00am - 6:00pm) CST. Rotational Saturdays are required for 4 hour shifts every 12 weeks. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Training will be conducted virtually from your home.
*All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.

Required Qualification:
  • Associate's degree (or higher)
  • 2+ years of administrative, clerical, and/or utilization review/management experience
  • 1+ years of experience working in the health care industry
  • 1+ years of experience working with medical terminology
  • 1+ years ICD-9 and CPT coding experience
  • Experience identifying and resolving case errors
  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher)
  • Medicare and/or Medicaid clinical review experience
  • Community & State clinical Review experience
  • Employer & Individual clinical review experience.
  • 2+ years claim experience
  • Background/experience in project management/process improvement

Colorado Residents Only: The hourly range for Colorado residents is $17.12 to $30.34.
