The Financial, Planning and Analysis Manager should be well-developed with financial analysis skills, excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills that can thrive in a fast paced industry.


The Financial, Planning and Analysis Manager under the direction of the VP of Finance/CFO will support the FP& A functions of the Division, and have close relationships between the financial leaders of the Parent company, as well as the operating locations within the Division. The role is a broad-based financial leadership role, functioning as a business partner to Divisional and Parent company management.

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded from time to time to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary.

  • Acts as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities. Complies with all safety and health guidelines, quality standard practices/procedures and housekeeping standards.
  • Weekly reporting o Cash forecasts
  • Understand and review each locations' weekly forecast prior to submission to Parent company
  • Understand variances in prior period forecasts to optimize the process and accuracy, where required.
  • Order book - understand and review each locations' weekly forecast prior to submission to Parent company
  • Monthly reporting on forecasting
  • Participate in the discussions with each location to understand the forecasted financial and operational performance for these periods
  • Prepare various summaries / information as needed Parent and division. .
  • Develop monthly reporting package (including various sales reporting information) and distribute to internal stakeholders as part of the monthly reporting call / discussion
  • Sales reporting - understand sales by market and significant customers in those markets for each location
  • Strategic planning - participate in the strategic planning process and assist Divisional management and Parent company with various related summaries, analyses, and opinions.
  • Acquisitions - participate in diligence, integration and various activities associated with strategic acquisitions. Work with both Divisional and Parent company management as part of the acquisition team

Qualifications:

Requires a bachelor's degree in Accounting or comparable field from a four-year college or university

5 to 10 years of experience in progressive roles with similar responsibilities within a manufacturing environment

Other experience desired, but not required

Public accounting background

Involved in financial due diligence, purchasing accounting, and/or financial integration activities of acquisitions

Involved as a finance leader or other significant role in an ERP implementation

CPA

ERP, excel and consolidation reporting tools
