Collateral Solutions Analyst

In this position, you will conduct financial modeling on various financial products as well as have responsibility for measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans. You will be relied on to advise management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and prepare reports for management. You will be a part of a dynamic team being a key business partner in areas such as forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. Located in the New Brighton, Minnesota, area, this Collateral Solutions Analyst role is a long-term temporary employment opportunity. We seek a candidate with a strong work ethic and a demonstrated competency in financial analysis.

How you will make an impact:

- Property evaluations for commercial/residential properties and collateral

- Conduct online research of properties to summarize the characteristics of the properties (location, condition, previous sales, etc.) as well as researching comparable properties

- Summarize report findings, potential risks, methods used for valuation, etc. to determine the reliance level used in the final decision

- This position would suit a flexible individual that has experience managing large amounts of information and meeting expectations

- Own monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required

- Understand and communicate internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

- Assess potential risks and opportunities and research performance

- Ad Hoc Financial Analysis experience highly desired

- Demonstrated knowledge of Pivot Table

- Deep understanding of Commercial Mortgage

- Encompass experience

- Adeptness in financial analysis

- Mortgage processing experience preferred

- General familiarity with VLOOKUP

- Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel

- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience recommended

- Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing

- Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations

- Understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required

- Background in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly valued (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

- BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

- Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience prioritized)

- Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions
