**Description:**Will work on assembly line to build / assemble mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components of paving and construction equipment.Build custom equipment based on blueprint and schematic specifications.Assemble frames, build axles, install motors, air conditioning, and electrical harnesses.Will utilize click wrench, torque wrench, ratchet, pneumatic pulse tool, pneumatic tool with stall bar, nutrunner, and DC electric wrench.Will be required to calibrate tools and fixtures for necessary job.Extensive use of pneumatic pulse equipment for proper torque.Will utilize tools on hoses, port fittings, jam nuts, pipe threads, non-ferrous fittings, A/C fittings, special torque, and bulkhead fittings.Responsible for inspection of all equipment to conform to shop standards.Will work effectively in a team environment and interact with support personnel (engineering, purchasing, etc.). May work with vendors/suppliers on parts discrepancy issues.Will coordinate work to meet changing production schedules; Must identify and relay information for correction on discrepancies in assembly processes, B.O.M., parts shortages, safety issues, etc.**Skills:**Torque Tools, Mechanic, Automotive, Diesel, Assembly, Hand tool, Blueprint, Sheet metal, Mechanical assembly, Manual, Power tool, Mechanical, Production, Install, Schematic, Truck equipment, Diesel, Hydraulics**Top Skills Details:**Torque Tools, Mechanic, Automotive, Diesel**Additional Skills & Qualifications:**MUST HAVES:- 2+ years experience in heavy equipment assembly or as a mechanic (auto, aviation, military preferred).- Proficiency with blueprints, diagrams, schematics; must be able to understand and assemble hydraulics and electrical components.- Must have a basic understanding of torque patterns.- CAT will also consider individuals who have recently completed an automotive technology degree with no experience.- Must have technical understanding of torque, O-Rings, and metric system.- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds- Must want to work as part of a team, as they will almost always be working with one other individual in their cell.NICE TO HAVES:- Certified trade school or degree in a related area is a plus.**Experience Level:**Entry Level**About Aerotek:**We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
