Job Description

Compensation (Range): 16-18/ hour

We are a leading staffing firm and our clients include some over the nation's biggest companies. Our client has a need for a Technical Writer. This is a contract position; however, it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. Applicant must be eligible to work in the US for immediate opening. For this opportunity, the successful candidate will be directly employed by Bartech Staffing as a W2 employee while providing services to our end client.

Technical Writer

Job Responsibilities

Your specific duties as a Technical Writer will include:

• Technical documentation of work processes and changes
• Coordination of change orders with Engineering, Maintenance, Materials
• Process failure modes effects analysis (PFEMA)
• Work with assemblers, welders, painters, and fabricators to create detailed processes needed to manufacture products
• Use of camera to capture pictures of options on units and then generate visual work instructions
• Use computer programs to take screenshots of rare options to create work instructions
• Read and interpret engineering drawings for the manufactured products
• Identify improvement opportunities and initiate changes with the Engineering team through use of proper tools and procedures
• Review Change orders for necessary changes to current work instructions and needs for additional work instructions
• Develop and update troubleshooting guides for the Finishing/Test area.
• Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Standard Operating Sequences (SOS) in support of WCM
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

As a Technical Writer you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual, and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

• HS Diploma/GED Required
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point
