Global leader in machine tool technology is looking for a highly-motivated Account Manager to focus on growing their marketshare in the Midwest region of the US. The role includes all aspects of the sales process including but not limited to; prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, closing, posting and sales agent support.


EDUCATION:

Associates degree in complimentary field, Bachelor's degree preferred. Will consider non-degreed applicants with relevant job experience.

EXPERIENCE:

3-7 years in technical sales or equivalent experience. Ideal candidate has machine tool industry background, however, candidates may be considered with industrial sales experience.

SPECIFIC REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • An individual who is organized and able to follow a well-defined sales strategy.
  • A self-motivator who is goal oriented with a competitive selling personality.
  • Strong prospecting and cold calling capability.
  • Sales pipeline management, including lead generation, account planning and strategy, resource management and pipeline forecasting.
  • Consultative selling, including relationship and network building, understanding of customer needs and ability to develop specific platform knowledge for deal shaping capability.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects at any given time.
  • Proven track record of sales success.
  • Ability to be on the road 4-5-days a week.
  • Strong communication skills.

REPORTS TO: VP of Sales - Americas


LOCATION: Midwest US


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute an action plan efficiently to grow sales volume in the designated territory.
  • Establish new customers and maintain current customer relationships.
  • Maintain sales reporting in a CRM system on a daily basis for projects and call reports.
  • Take part in corporate events such as trade shows, trainings and open houses.
  • Support 3rd party lead generators such as agents or distributors for the specified product.
