Overview

Our Digital Innovation capabilities leverage digital technology and applications to improve existing business processes and workforce efficiency, enhance customer experience, and launch new products, services, or business models. As a Content Strategist/UX Writer, you will be a part of our User Experience Design capability, a Digital Innovation service combining user research, experience strategy, experience design, and visual design.

Responsibilities
  • Developing and executing content strategies to enhance and evolve the content experience for advocacy - benefit administration
  • Defining the content structure, workflow and governance to guide the decisions of content throughout its lifecycle
  • Critical strategy and tasks include enhancing client developed content, translate that content into plain language, anticipate the interpretation of the language by members, advocates, clients and ensure it is organized into a single source of truth shared repository
  • Develop long term vision for content strategy based on business objectives in collaboration with PHS Advocacy-FedEx digital leadership team
  • Develop and execute content strategies and write copy for digital experiences that improve advocates searching and accessing content to support members through efficiently and effectively resolving their questions
  • Translate and negotiate the definition of the content with client or contract holder, Health Plans and External Vendors to ensure appropriate interpretation/translation of intended content
  • In partnership with Account Management Team, hold client or contract holder accountable for agreeing to and maintaining definition of content over time
  • Engage in ongoing governance with content governance core team and client or contract holder on the interpretation, translation and modifications of content over time, including all new content built over time
  • Build, align and translate all content ensuring a seamless, consistent member, advocate, and client experience across all interactions (i.e. letters, web content, scripting, etc.)
  • Maintain consistent quality, tone, voice and style for a broad audience
  • Must be proficient in sourcing, drafting and securing approvals for a wide range of content - including clinical writing focused on the web
  • Manage editorial requirements including content categorization and structure, content development, distribution and measurement
  • Organize content into a single shared source of truth repository through partnering with the content ecosystem team and capabilities
  • Serve as content subject matter expert with content ecosystem team and taxonomist
  • Convert concepts in the source language to equivalent concepts in the target language and medium
  • Relay the style and tone of the original language
  • Develop and follow style guide and health literacy best practices for PHS-Advocacy - Benefits Admin
  • Apply cultural knowledge to render an accurate and meaningful interpretation or translation of the original message
  • Develop measurement and optimizations plans using key performance indicators and related measurement reporting to ensure content is meeting the objectives established
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Advertising, Journalism, Communications, Technical Communications, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 5 years consumer content marketing experience
  • 7+ years experience in copywriting and editing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record of successful work within an internal creative services team or agency
  • Extensive understanding of all writing disciplines, including conceptual and executional
  • Demonstrated writing ability that is inspirational, frank and avoids marketing fluff and health care jargon
  • Standout idea generator and problem solver with excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to understand consumer insights and distill it into compelling and clear messaging to engage consumers
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use data to inform all decisions
  • Experience developing content in an agile development environment
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multi projects and deliverables effectively
  • Skilled at influencing and collaborating with others
  • 2+ years of experience in tracking and planning projects, portfolio planning
  • 2+ years of experience in training new programs
  • 5+ years of experience in client facing
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment collaborating and influencing without authority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • 3+ years of experience working directly with medical benefit plan design
  • Experience with a variety of content management tools, web analytics software and keyword tools
  • Demonstrated understanding of web layout and usability guidelines, as well as practical applications of SEO/SEM strategies as it relates to content
