As an HR Business Partner at Millerbernd Manufacturing, you are a key partner for leadership and a valuable resource for our employees. This position is viewed as a knowledgeable resource to provide leaders and employees the guidance needed to be successful.

This role will partner with leaders to retain, develop, train, and optimize the performance and engagement of individuals and teams. This position has an integral role and commitment to the overall employee experience. This role will focus on working directly with employees and managers and help evolve our training and development focus.

Essential Job Functions

Employee Relations

  • Resolves complex and broad employee relations problems or issues related to traditional employee relations matters with a focus on the employee experience and a positive business outcome
  • Provide daily guidance to HR team on Employee Relations topics, such as complaints, performance management and conflict resolution issues.
  • Manages the process of documenting corrective actions and Performance Plans to ensure proper completion and preservation of documents.
  • Provides input on new and revised policies; interprets various HR plans, programs, policies and procedures for employees and provides advice and recommendations to leadership
  • Drive Engagement Measures and supports leaders in creating an engaging culture
  • Partners with HR leadership to assist in the performance management processes, analyzing data and training leaders

Training & Development

  • Assess training needs to identify gaps and skills with greatest impact on Safety, Compliance and Productivity.
  • Develop individualized and group training programs that address specific business needs.
  • Identify and assess the training needs of the organization through job analysis, career paths and consultation with the Leadership Team.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to define learning objectives and training curriculum.
  • Evaluate and implement learning beyond the classroom training including mentorships, apprenticeships, welding school, and leadership development.
  • Write and edit technical and procedural documents such as work instruction documents, standardized work, training aids, user guides and/or facilitator manuals, etc.
  • Develop training content built on sound instructional design principles that engages employees, address their individual needs, learning styles, and maximize knowledge retention.
  • Evaluate outsourced vendors or create internal content by applying best practices in adult learning theory and instructional design.
  • Monitor and evaluate training programs to ensure they are current and effective.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university is required. A major in Human Resources Management is preferred
  • 7+ years of related Human Resources experience
