kW Mission Critical Engineering is currently initiating a search for a Security Designer for our Milwaukee, WI office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* As a Security Designer, you will collaborate, design/support the physical security design of video surveillance, access control, and intrusion detection for new builds, renovations, and upgrades to data centers across the US and abroad.
* Assigns work activities and prepares schedules.
* Provide support to technical design team on tasks of high complexity.
* Produce accurate 2D drawings and 3D BIM Models.
* Prepare layouts, drawings, and detailed sketches.
* Perform designs in accordance with project standards and specifications.
* Provide direction to less experienced team members regarding design questions.
* Review 2D drawings and 3D BIM Models for accuracy.
* Develop strong internal client relationships.
* Prepare reports.
* Coordinate projects with other disciplines.
* Other duties as required by business needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

* HS Diploma
* 7+ years of technical engineering support, including Revit.
* Knowledge of multiple IP-based video and access control systems and manufacturers.
* Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to travel to project sites in the US.
* Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
