What you will do

The Sr. Litigation Paralegal is responsible for providing paralegal support in connection with ongoing North American litigation and special projects within Global Litigation Team. This role will report to the VP Litigation - Americas and will have the primary responsibility for supporting the North American insured litigation team. Essential functions include providing litigation support on discovery issues, coordinating as necessary with employees, outside law firms and vendors and providing support for the Global Litigation Team workstreams and special projects.

How you will do it

* Provide support to in-house litigation attorneys with the day-to-day management of litigation matters, including discovery and document management tasks, and special projects.
* Manage all aspects of discovery, including e-discovery vendors and database management.
* Assist Global Litigation team members with invoices; communicate and coordinate with preferred law firms as to billing matters.
* Support Global Litigation team in the preparation and review of various litigation reports, metric tracking, and scorecards for various litigation dockets.

What we look for

* B.A. or equivalent degree required
* 5 years of litigation support experience as a paralegal or legal specialist at a law firm or in-house legal department.
* Paralegal certification preferred.
* Experience with civil litigation; product liability and/or recall experience a plus.
* Effective analytical, organization and problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills as a committed team player.
* Experience managing and coordinating high profile matters in a professional, assertive, and positive manner.
* Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple, cross-functional global projects; able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Stellar judgment and agility to manage multiple wide-ranging matters, often competing deadlines, and new areas of expertise as business needs change.
