Instructional Assistant/Early Childhood Preschool Paraprofessional
Effective Date:
August 30, 2021
Hours:
15.75 hours per week
5 days per week
10 months
Salary:
Class III starting at $14.76 per hour
* Wage placement based on similar experience
Required Education:
* High School Diploma
* 60 credits post-secondary education or a passing score on the Para Pro Exam
Required Experience:
Successful experiences working with early childhood/ preschool aged children.
Responsibilities:
Must be able to work with young children in a positive, collaborative environment and have a basic understanding of growth and development.
Must be able to keep materials and the class room organized and clean.
Must assist the classroom teacher with preparing and implementing lesson plans and may be asked to collect data for child progress.
