Accounting Clerk

Beacon Hill Associates of Minneapolis is seeking an Accounting Clerk for smaller family owned company in the St. Paul area! This entry level role is full time onsite, temp-to-hire and looking for someone with 6 months to 3 years of experience in an accounting field. In this role, you will have your hands in multiple pots of the accounting department and work closely with the accounting team to perform daily duties. Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm, Mon-Fri - Onsite

Pay Rate: $21-$26 per hour, depending on experience

Job Duties:

• Assists in preparation of forecasts and budgets, and prepares regular financial reports
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations for management team, and to prepare monthly financial reports, including budget variance, P&L, cost accounting, cost of sales, and more.
• Reviews payroll, sales tax, Accounts Payable, and other routinely manages internal reporting and external processes as required.
• Prepares annual reporting and reconciliation for review, for 401(k), HSA, payroll taxes, and other stately and federally required reporting
• Assists, when needed, in A/R efforts, including collecting past due amounts.
• Stays apprised of all county, city, state, and federal compliance and reporting laws and regulations
• Monitors General Ledger entries, prepares entries, and account corrections, as necessary.
• Reconciles bank accounts, cash accounts, and credit card statements monthly.
• Reconciles General Ledger, and produces preliminary bank financials, and bank collateral statement.

Job Qualifications:

• 6 months - 3 years of accounting experience required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting field preferred
• Knowledge of accounting process's and duties
• Ability to take accountability and make suggestions for improvement
• Great attention to detail and accuracy skills
• Ability to meet client requirements
