Communications Director

Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association is offering a full-time, exempt, salaried position for a communications professional with experience in professional writing, internet communication tools, social media and video production. This role is part of a dynamic communications, policy and education team that provides industry and Association news to more than 600 member companies and cooperatives across the U.S, educates policymakers on the role of the dairy industry in a vibrant state and regional economy, and builds and executes training programs for members.

This director role is a leadership role for all member communications and requires excellent writing and oral communication skills, strong organizational skills, creative marketing skills, and the ability to create, manage and adhere to execution of plans for new and ongoing communications programs.

This employee will have solid experience in managing weekly communication deadlines, multiple social media accounts, writing news releases and newsletter copy, writing speeches and event communication, creating and executing media events and webinars, communicating with consumer and industry media outlets, and website creation, writing and management. Proficiency in graphic design tools, video production and editing and public speaking are important.
