Summary

This job will oversee the majority of the construction arm of this confidentially kept, mid-sized General Contractor. Has an excellent pipeline lined up for 2021 & 2022 and is focusing on bringing aboard a leader who will play a large part in growing and developing an already well-established and respected business.

Construction types include a wide variety, yet Corporate Offices, Light Industrial, large Multi-Family, Senior Living and Municipal work is likely the most significant. They are committed to consistently providing quality, cost-effective commercial construction solutions for already well-established and well-taken-care-of clients.

Description

  • Develop a strategic plan to grow the company's construction division.
  • Providing consultation to project development and preconstruction team members to support efforts to win potential projects.
  • Evaluate prospective clients for work to be performed, including seeking out new clients to partner with in both new and existing territories
  • Review preliminary requests for proposals
  • Working with early-career project managers, project and field engineers, superintendents, and other construction management professionals, supporting career development activities to grow internal talent pipeline.
  • Supporting and at times initiating continuous improvement initiatives.

Profile

  • Education in Construction or relevant degree
  • Understands costs and market conditions
  • The ability to lead and manage a team underneath you
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Is Detail-Oriented and able to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.
  • Is Goal-Oriented with an ability to ensure that they and others stay focused on the task objectives and performs in accordance with clear expectations and goals.
  • Is interpersonal with an ability to develop and maintain relationships with others.
  • Is self motivated with an ability to reach a goal or perform a task with little supervision or direction.
