Maintenance Technician

Growing and busy company in Minneapolis is adding a Maintenance Technician to their team! This is a Direct Placement/Perm position available on the First Shift!
This position will be responsible for:

• Perform inspection and maintenance in a PSM/RMP regulated facility
• Maintain preventive maintenance program and spare parts inventory
• Perform general facility and equipment repairs o Direct and work with contractors o Boiler/HVAC/Compressors/Pump operations
• Welding/Piping fitting/installation, familiarity with ASME B31.3 requirements
• Exposure to chemicals in a process environment
• Participate in emergency response o
• Other duties as needed including work at other locations
• Must be able to drive Shuttlewagon and assist in the rail yard as necessary.
• Maintain/monitor plant and work area housekeeping standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervision.
• Apply all SQF standards and report any food safety incidents to the Supervisor, Manager or designated back-up (applicable to positions in SQF Certified Plants)

Qualifications Include:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written channels.
• Ability to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening ???
• Boiler Operators License (Preferred)
• High school diploma and equivalent experience is the absolute minimum required.
• Computer skills (MS Office) required, and MRP (JDEdwards) experience preferred.
• Ability to operate an industrial fork truck required; previous experience preferred. ???
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment required, previous experience handling chemicals is preferred.

Shift - Monday - Friday - 9am-5:30pm (Some On-call possible)
Pay - $28+ per hour - Based on Experience
