Accounting Technician

Interstate Engineering is looking for a number-minded individual to join our administrative team. In this client billing role, you will provide support for our professional service personnel. If you like working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with connections to each office and project manager, this role might be just for you. 

Job responsibilities include

• Review new contracts and contract set up in the accounting system, verifying the accuracy of all billing terms, and continually updating project contract information over the project life cycle
• Prepare customer invoices in an accurate and timely manner in collaboration with project managers
• Review own work to ensure all costs are accounted for and billed appropriately
• Ensure compliance with internal processes and procedures
• Perform various other accounting and administrative duties as required.

Job Requirements

Associates degree in a related field or relevant work experience. Previous billing or other experience in the engineering and/or construction industry is a positive. Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills; attention to detail. Professional, customer service attitude and abilities. Self-motivated and reliable; willing to learn and take the initiative. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
