Temporary Laboratory

Position Information

Description, Duties & Responsibilities: The North Dakota State University Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory is looking for a general laboratory assistant to provide help in multiple laboratory sections.

• -Courier pickup of diagnostic samples at veterinary clinics in Fargo, ND and Casselton, ND
  
  -Handling of paper work/filing
  
  -Process specimens for diagnostic testing in the Molecular Diagnostics and Toxicology sections
  
  -Basic cleaning of laboratory space (washing dishes and counters, discard and/or autoclave waste)
  
  -Labeling specimens
  
  

Requirements & Competencies:

• -Be able to commit 15-20 hours a week with a consistent daily schedule.
  
  -Prefer to have a background (classes, work experience, or degree) in science, biology, laboratory or veterinary science
  
  -Must have a valid driver's license
  
  -Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  
  -Ability to communicate well and get along with coworkers
  

Work Location:

• 4035 19TH AVE N, FARGO, ND

Hours & Schedule:

• 4 HRS A DAY; NOON-4:00 PM
