Job Description:

Check schedule for products to be produced during the week insuring there is adequate inventory for products scheduled.

Become proficient in all aspects of materials department according to set standards, including monitoring & maintaining inventory & temperatures for products that are needed for production.

Determine quantity and type of raw materials and packaging supply needed per line according to the production schedule.

Return product / materials to proper storage areas at end of production runs.

Keep proper inventory records as required by Material Accounting Group.

Properly label and store any leftover materials.

Maintain ingredient storage areas and ensuring cleanliness.

Repalletize products according to repalletizing program.

Fill out and initial all production documents associated with your area of responsibility before turning those in at the end of your shift.

Load finished goods onto shuttle for transportation to finished goods warehouse.

Maintain a clean work area, sweeping the floor, wiping off the tables, scales, & carts.

Assist in cleaning up, weighing & disposing of scrap as needed. Report any discarded product.

Maintain equipment and notify Group Manager / Team Lead of any repairs or adjustments that are needed so a work order may be generated.

Assist in the training of team members.

Understand and comply with the allergen policy, attaching an orange allergen tag to pallet of allergens returned to the warehouse.

Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy.

Follow and observe all safety policies at all times.

Properly fill out pick lists according to established procedure.

Must be able to drive a fork lift in close proximity of raw materials without damaging equipment or raw materials mindful of the safety policies.

Must be able to operate a power dolly in close proximity of raw materials without damaging equipment or raw materials, while being mindful of the safety policies.

Perform all duties necessary to meet American Institute of Baking (AIB), Company, and or Government requirements / standards as prioritized by the Company.

Responsible for reporting food safety and quality problems to the appropriate personnel, as well as follow quality and safety programs and policies themselves in order to ensure products made here meets the highest standards possible.

All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required as Essential

Possess a basic understanding of math.

Thorough understanding of all Company policies, including GMP's and safety policies.

Effectively communicate.

Able to lift 50 lbs. in weight above shoulder level.

Understand the basics of scale operations, weights and measurements.

The ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
