Facilities Planning and Management, Environmental Services Department (Grounds) is recruiting for a Facilities Repair Worker Advanced. Come join the Asphalt/Concrete Construction Crew!

Primary concrete duties involve inspecting, maintaining, repairing, replacing, and constructing new concrete sidewalks, curbs, steps, pads, etc. Remove old material, prepare for proper sub-base and compaction. Pour concrete and finish surfaces, as necessary. Primary asphalt duties involve inspecting, maintaining, repairing, replacing, and constructing new asphalt structures to include asphalt roads, parking lots, and bike paths. Prepare for proper sub-base and compaction Follow blueprints to proper size and grades required for forming grade surface and new construction of existing concrete/asphalt for proper grade, crown, and pitch. Install and maintain all outdoor signs and fences and participate in the snow removal operation.

Selected candidates must possess a Class B Commercial Drivers License with air brake and tank endorsement(s), which meets the UW Risk Management Standards, and maintain ability to drive State of Wisconsin vehicles. Must have the ability to obtain a Class A Commercial Drivers License with air brake and tank endorsements, within six months.

Minimum starting wage is $18.28/hour plus UW-Madison offers an excellent benefits package and opportunities for professional development. Normal work schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
