You might be a good fit for this position if you have the ability to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. You will be preferred for this role if you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.

Responsibilities

- Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives

- Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers

- Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision

- In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

- Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions

- Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting

- Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable

- Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

- Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease

- Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries

- Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

- Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request

- Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payrol

Job Requirements:
- Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

- Proficient in ERP systems

- General ledger experience

- Journal entries experience required

- Strong familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)

- Proven knowledge of Sales Tax

- Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred

- Account reconciliation experience highly desired

- 3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

- Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes

- Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

- Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

- Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

- Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

- Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

- Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

- BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
