JOB SUMMARY:The primary purpose of your position is to assist in the day-to-day office operations and in the accounting function of the company in accordance with current applicable accounting and cost reimbursement principles. To ensure that the billing process runs smoothly and timely. Ensures that the payroll and timekeeping process in run accurately on a weekly basis. Minimum Qualifications:* Must have as a minimum two (2) years experience in bookkeeping or accounting practice. * Experience in health care accounting preferred but not required.Essential Job Functions:* Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.* Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.* Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, clients, coworkers, government agencies/personnel and the general public.* Must be able to type 45 words per minute and use a 10-key calculator.* Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing sound accounting techniques.* Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents, staff, based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.* Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing accounting practices.* Is knowledgeable in various payment sources, understands billing timelines and tracking of payments. Is diligent in collections.* Submits the weekly payroll files to the parent entity to ensure that each employee is paid timely.* Assists in other duties as assigned such as onboarding employees, employee files, licensure tracking etc. * Be familiar with QuickBooks and or related accounting software and the generating of standard business reports, such as income statements, statements of cash flow and balance statements. * Must have mid-level expertise with Microsoft Excel Safety * Comply with all Company safety policies, regulations and requirements regarding fire and life safety. * Comply with all Company safety policies regulations and requirements involving employee safety and patient safety. This includes but is not limited to: a zero tolerance for harassment and violence; following infection control procedures; following safe patient handling as required with your specific job position. * May be required to assist in the evacuation of patients during emergency situations. * Meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility. Residents Rights and Positive Relationships:* Understand, comply with and promote all rules and regulations regarding residents rights.* Promote positive relationships with residents, visitors, and regulators, to include presenting a professional appearance.Physical and Sensory Requirements (With or Without Aid of Mechanical Devices):While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to:* Sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; ability to read and write; * Ability to sit, (greater than 3 hours) stand or walk for extended periods of time. * Have a working understanding of English: ability to read and write; ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions; ability to verbally communicate with residents and others; ability to hear and respond to pages. * Use hands repetitively to operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 20 pounds. * Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.* Ability to distinguish smells, tastes and temperatures.* Ability to remain calm in emergency situations and when handling multiple tasks.
