Join us and start doing your life's best work.(sm)You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities: Manage the daily operations of the Operations Quality team Assist in the development and implementation of the program plan and program evaluations Monitor and analyze program performance metrics (QASP and key performance indicators), identify and report to leadership gaps in performance and/or patterns/trends. Accountable for quality assurance audit program for operational units under contract Manage audit inventory and balance workload assignments Analyze audit findings and communicate and report to senior leaders and government officials. Serve on cross-organizational quality committees to identify and communicate quality issues, trends, and patterns Investigate quality problems identified, collect additional information, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) and performance improvement initiatives to close gaps Identify, communicate, and implement improvement opportunities Direct and lead CAPAs to meet key performance metrics and maintain contract compliance Work collaboratively with operating units to close gaps and ensure contract requirements are met Develop, update, and/or review policies and procedures Manage satisfaction surveys process and analyzes and reports results You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree 3+ years of experience leading/working all aspects of an Operational Quality program 3+ years of experience in healthcare 3+ years management experience Experience preparing written communications and presentations to multiple levels of leadership, particularly reports with findings/recommendations Experience with quality business processes and six sigma methodologies Experience with performance measurement tools and continual process improvement techniques Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years healthcare call center, claims, and/or other operations experience Experience in managed care and/or government health care programs Military experience Ability to educate, motivate, and/or influence others to understand quality processes and engage in and commit to the process Careers with Optum.
