Corporate Controller

Robert Half Finance and Accounting is assisting a manufacturing client in the recruiting for their open Corporate Controller position. The position is in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin region. The Corporate Controller will be responsible for overseeing accounting and technical accounting as well as be responsible for implementing processes, procedures and systems to support the company's accounting, financial reporting, and internal control environment. If you are someone with progressive manufacturing accounting experience, who enjoys being hands-on in the weeds including cost and pricing, inventory management as well as moth-end and budgets, this is the opportunity for you!

Your responsibilities in this role:

- Assess, execute and improve policies, procedures and controls

- Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor on a monthly basis

- Handle monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis

- Each month, present executive committee and partners with financial reports

- Year-end audit matters working with external external auditor

- Report compliance with external customers

- Research, prepare and execute Finance Department initiatives such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as required

- 5+ years accounting manufacturing experience including experience working in a plant environment

- CPA or eligibility required

- Supervisory/management experience required

- Proven knowledge of Year-end Audits

- GAAP Accounting experience

- Comprehensive knowledge of Manufacturing Cost Accounting

- Well-founded grasp of Company Internal Control

- Practical knowledge of SAP

- Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

- Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills

- Strong analytical and communication skills
