Robert Half Finance may have an excellent fitting Financial Analyst role for applicants with outstanding communication skills and a background in finance. An employment opportunity has become available at a IT Software company with a growing team. Daily functions will consist of conducting financial modeling on various financial products as well as measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives, and preparing reports for management. This Financial Analyst role, which is located in the Eden Prairie, Minnesota, is a full-time employment opportunity. A dynamic team is seeking a key business partner to join their efforts. The right candidate must be proficient in forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management.

Your responsibilities in this role

- Collaborate with senior executives on strategic deep dives on creating financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, event tracking and execution, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, and strategic resource allocation, and prioritization

- Track monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources

- The ideal candidate should be a highly flexible individual who is comfortable with large amounts of information and adept at managing expectations

- Develop monthly reports to business partners on financial results and if any actions are required

- Survey performance to date and assess potential opportunities and risks

- Support Area/Segment-level Bookings on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis, as well as P& L forecasting

- Work with the Accounting team on monthly and quarterly financial close processes

- Complete and direct forecasting reports

- Understand and be able to explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

- Enable successful Business Intelligence (BI) to deliver valuable foresight and decision support

- Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to ensure plans are executed properly

Job Requirements:
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills

- Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience ideal)

- Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required

- Cash Flow Analysis experience

- Solid understanding of financial analysis

- Command of forecasting

- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

- BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

- Background in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly valued (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

- 2+ years of experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

- Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations

- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is ideal, but not required
