Candidates looking for long-term temporary work as a Senior Financial Analyst will be interested in this opening with one of our clients. This Senior Financial Analyst position is located in Fridley, Minnesota. To thrive in this role, you will need to excel at being our client's primary point of contact for all financial issues, including project spending, planning, forecasting and annual budgeting. To succeed in this Senior Financial Analyst consultant role, you will need to perform analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments supporting public reporting requirements, and provide decision-making support for future company investments.

Responsibilities

- Advance existing management reporting - analyze financial results, distill and synthesize key issues, communicate integral updates to senior management

- Collaborate with Functional leads to execute management reporting, accounting and compliance advisement, and coordinate alignment of operational initiatives

- Develop business, operational, and financial processes to be repeatable and understandable for all necessary teams

- Track financial results with greater accuracy and discretion by working with Operating and Accounting to drive improved management reporting

- Evaluate financial results, summarize key trends, assess current and future business risks, and communicate critical updates all in the course of preparing monthly and quarterly reporting to senior leadership

- Cultivate business performance through the use and execution of financial analysis

- Build advantageous relationships with integral business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership

- Assist in other ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests

Job Requirements:
- Ability to work effectively and cross-functionally, think practically and be solution-oriented

- Comprehensive knowledge of navigating basic office equipment and protocols

- Ability to think critically and interact with management

- Skilled at process reengineering and optimization

- Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills

- Highly skilled with Microsoft PowerPoint

- Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement

- Required education: BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, or a related field

- Familiarity in office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended

- Expert Microsoft Excel skills required

- CPA/MBA preferred
